Both sound equally plausible.

The 3 abrahamic faiths are all based on the same basic gobbledegook, so are equally ridiculous. Pretty much by definition all religions are received and are not based on anything as troublesome as fact.

I'm sure I read in,I think,"god is not great" by Christopher Hitchens,that a lot of the Koran was ripped off from earlier bibles,but it may have been a different book.
Islam is a joke anyway,All religions are.

He did write about the inherent contradictions of islam quite pithily, although he's far from the first to do so.
