Migrant smugglers shot in France
Discussion
Apologies if this has been mentioned but i could not see anything in here but sounds like 4 people from a UK based British smuggling gang have been shot after a high speed chase through Belgium and France that caused 3 crashes and left 1 Dutch motorcyclist dead.
Details seem sketchy at the moment but it seems the gang armed with knifes were threatening lorry drivers to smuggle migrants when the police were called, gave chase and ended up opening fire (not clear if this was before or after the crashes)
Very serious indecent though and it had been suspected that UK based gangs were smuggling migrants from Dunkirk after the recent security measures in Calais
The 4 men were driving an Audi registered to the UK and are believed to be Iraqi nationals living in England

It posses the question of how they got into the UK in the first place.
At this stage we simply do not know, they could well be asylum seekers who applied legally years ago and are genuine UK passport holders etc who decided to become involved in people smuggling or on the other end of the scale we have Iraqi migrants with false documents etc who are making money through this trade which ultimately filers down to funding terrorism It has been said for a while now that lorry drivers are at genuine risk from the migrant crisis to the point some haulage firms are considering providing security guards for each lorry, this may well be the incident that makes that option much more likely
