I was expecting this response, it's stupidity on his part no doubt, but an extremely heavy fine would he more the sufficient. A car driven at 100mph could be considered a lethal weapon could it not?
So should a stun gun be put in the same category as an ak47?

If I was a relative/friend of the man, I'd be fuming at the same time heartbroken at the sentence.
