A dreadful murder by a deranged low-life, no doubt about it, but how many will get involved with this:

I won't be doing anything but this wasn't just any other murder was it - it was a politically motivated killing of an elected official, something which hasn't happened since the IRA days.
It was a terrible tragedy, but it was a mental health issue as far as I'm concerned. The nutjob who did it was too simple to get involved in politics, too simple to do it and get away with it.
yes Yep - that's what I thought. Bloke is a nut case & should've been sectioned in a secure environment long before.
All very sad, & I think bringing in 'celebrity' chefs & the like is somewhat demeaning.

Whether his motivation, whatever his politics, he does appear to be trying to politicise her death beyond all reason. Time will tell.
Best point.
yes I think the whole thing is very sad. Can anyone of us imagine politicising a relative's death, be they a politician or not?? Most of us would want to see 'justice done', whatever that means, & then life must go on. Perhaps celebrate an anniversary/birthday, but surely in a dignified manner. The more I read, the more callous the widower appears to be....

Anyone here planning on going?

Articles quotes someone saying that this isn't political, but there's no way there would be the same hoo-ha if she didn't have the 'correct' political views.
She was shockingly murdered by a deranged man who should have been sectioned long before. I don't see this as a political murder as such.
If I was murdered, would anybody do a street party for me?

Biker 1 I would attend a street party after your death providing your family paid for free booze.
Cool - I'll add you to the invite list!
