is she actually guilty then ?

how do you go from a drug deal to a sex game to holding someone down and stabbing them ?

its an interesting case

and it could well be a terrible miscarriage of justice (how good is the italian legal system ?)

but i cant help thinking: "no smoke without fire"

if it had been me sharing a room with her as a student, you can bet i wouldn't have been charged with murder

why ? Because I would have had an alibi, dozens of people would have witnessed me somewhere else at the time of the murder, I wouldn't have had furious mobile phone texting sessions during the time and after the murder, I wouldnt have done cartwheels whilst waiting to be questioned by police, i woukldnt have changed my story so much, and i wouldnt have implicated a bertender who had nothing to do with any of it

i have to agree though that the knife was a poor bit of evidence

not only does some of the wounds not match the knife but also there was a blood print showing the shape of the murder weapon on the beadclothes and it wasnt the shape of the knife used in the trial.. and the amount of kercher dna on the tip is suspect, that part of it sounds like Colin Stagg all over again

The knife found hasn't actually been positivly identified as the murder weapon.

DNA evidence at the scene placing Knox there is pretty weak.

No DNA evidence placing Solecitto.

Someone else (Rudi bloke) already convicted of the murder.

Now two others convicted of the same murder.

Normally, someone in a group thats accussed would break down and accuse one of the others. Hasnt happened.

Police pretty certain Kercher stabbed by one person.

2 + 2 deosnt always seem to make four.
Guede did accuse the others.

Difficult for Knox / Solecitto to try and blame Guede (although their lawyers tried) as Knox already tried unsuccessfully to frame up Diya Lumumba, a totally innocent party, something for which she has also to pay damages. Knox actually claimed to have been in the cottage whilst Lumumba killed Kercher when in fact Lumumba was not there and played no part in any of it. Hardly the actions of an innocent.

Knox and Solecitto came back to the house that night and faked a break in to try and make it look like someone else did it.

Nobody has suggested that more than 1 person, Knox, stabbed Kercher.

Murder weapon found in Solecittos flat. (The defence claim as you have said that it's not the murder weapon but the prosecution, judges (2) and jury are satisfied that it is. The appeal judges will rule on it I guess).

Solecittos DNA found on Kerchers bra strap.

Bloody footprints belonging to Knox and Solcitto found in the cottage using Luminol testing that proved that they were there post mortem, something they denied.

The other thing that I believe is important is that Madeline Kerchers parents are entirely satisfied that their daughters killers have been caught and are behind bars. These are intelligent educated people who, having got over their initial traumatic grief, will have been most concerned to know that the RIGHT people are convicted for murdering their daughter. And they will have microscopically examined every word uttered and every statement made.

I'm sure that Italian justice will be proved to have got this absolutely right.
terrible shame the way these cases are played out in the media

but i'm with you on this, ultimately there is just far too much hocus pocus that went on
