Folks,

It is only six quid in the great scheme of things, however I've been charged an overdraft usage fee for last month. Flat fee, but I never use overdraft so it's a pain... I always understood that even if you dropped slightly below zero as long as you rectified it by the end of the day it was fine.

So, on the 27th at 8.40pm I decided to make an online payment, causing me to go to. -£39. At midnight my salary went into the account.

Now, I thought it a bit rum because no actual banking hours were involved and I was actually only overdrawn for 3ish hrs anyway! If I'd have known they would charge i would have just delayed the payment?

Should I complain, or can someone here pop me six quid as compensation instead?

Cheers

I called LTSB about a similar charge, for going £40 overdrawn for 1 day, expecting an argument over the phone. Not only did they refund the £6, they gave me £20 as compensation. I wasn't after any, but won't turn down a free £20 smile
Interesting, worth a call then!
