Halifax Phone Call
Discussion
So I just had a phone call from Halifax. Withheld number. The guy I spoke to new my name, the details of my loan I have with them and where my branch was. I obviously didn't give any other details but he wanted me to pop into the branch for a meeting on how the can reduce my interest rates on my loan.
I made an appointment for a Saturday afternoon. Would this be a waste of time going to?
Anyone else ever had a call like this?

It'll be a waste of time they will want you to increase the size of the loan or extend it to make more money.
This is what I was expecting. Banks are a business at the end of the day so I wouldn't expect them to phone me to help me out whilst not having anything in it for themselves.I will probably go though as it may be mutually beneficial. If they want to offer me a higher loan at a lower rate then I could use the extra to pay my credit card off and be better off monthly.
Anyway, the appointment is't until may 21st so if I remember I'll come back and conclude the thread. Thanks all.
