I need to put up the trellis' shown bottom right of the pic and have made up two long horizontal lengths of wood to hang the trellis' to but I am not sure how to attach them to the fencing. The panels are too weak/old to attach the wood to. So, my options are either drill into the posts but I am not sure how easy this is or if it's a good/bad idea or get two posts and attach the wooden horizontal bars to these. Thoughts/ideas?

Also bear in mind those concrete posts will probably have steel reinforced rods inside them.

And yes, they will have reinforced rods in them. I have access to large drills (other neighbour has evenry tool under the sun).

That's perfect!
