Moving to London - Zone 1 or 2?
Discussion
I've accepted a job in London and need to get somewhere to live sorted out in August.
I'll be working in Angel.
Want:
modern or traditional building (not ex-LA tower blocks)
walk to work or short commute (will trade off against other wants)
must be a "nice" area, we're late 20 early 30 something's
bars, restaurants need to be walkable
two bedroom strong preference
some outdoor space/terrace preferred
£1750 pcm absolute max
Is it worth taking zone 2 and staying Clapham / Camden? I like Clapham fwiw. Along the northern line seems like an obvious choice.
The thing is I'm in Glasgow, so I'm not going to get a lot of time to look. Is the stuff on rightmove generally out of date?

excellent - thanks, this is the kind of info i'm looking for.
So, where would be a better option if i opted for a commute to Angel? Either for better value or just to widen the search.
Am i likely to be getting up to date information on property websites, or is stuff moving much much faster? What websites should i use? I know i'll have to come down, but i'd like to be able to browse, set appointments, and come down for viewings and get it knocked out in a week.
I've managed to find a few 2 beds in my budget within 1/4 mile of Angel. The second room will be a spare room for storage and/or guests.
