satin paint twice the price of gloss?

just looking at some paint prices ..dulux trade satin is pretty much twice the price of gloss

whys that ? twice as good paint or just a rip off

does satin hold up to yellowing any better than gloss? ( im aware of the waterbased products)

and self undercoating ..even on tired yellow gloss ? ive started to undercoat some of the doors already
