Police Website - Crime In Your Area - 79% No Further Action

Following a recent thread I thought I'd take a look at a nearby area which is relatively low crime.

Looking at the stats the one that shocked me the most was that 79% of reported crime has "No Further Action" against it - that seems incredibly high to me.

I don't know what I expected, maybe 50%

But under 5% were "Dealt with at Court"

How many of them were where the person reporting just needed a crime number for insurance purposes, for example? (the sort of thing the police couldn't do anything about anyway)

But regardless 5% of reported crime !

It must be soul destroying for the officers.
