I have a 3.8m wall in my new mancave I want to fill with a workbench. Will do everything from car spannering, woodwork through to electronics on it.

Looked at the machine mart stuff & it looks flimsy & cheap. Any recomendations for off the shelf workbenches that are in the hundreds not thousands?

ohhh, nice. Would prefer steel cupboards & draws that lock. Wonder if I can get 2 or 3 draw units to use as bases to put a 50mm solid wood top on and stainless clad part of the wood too.

Got carried away & bought a cabinet to be one 1/2 of the workbench. Off to see local fabricator to make up a frame for the other 1/2 and deck it with some hardwood planks

search ebay for USProtools, arrived today, its very shiney smile Service is good from them, I got a load of cabinets off them, 1 small item was missing and they are sending out on an overnight courier for me. Cabinets themselves don't appear to be cheap tat, nice feel to the draws & well put together.
Decided it will live under the bench the blacksmith is making up for me, will be handy to have a pull out unit for extra space to rig up my RC planes on in the middle of the garage.
