We have an old fitted fridge with the door (and fancy panel) attached to the side of the cabinet, rather than the curent system where the door is still fitted to the fridge and the fancy panel attached to that. The door is not staying shut any longer because, I suspect, the hinges are way beyond their best before. I think the fridge needs to come right out and the hinges changed but I don't feel confident enough (read can't live without a fridge if I fk it up) to take it on.

Does anyone know a kitchen fitter or handyman convenient to Bromley who might be prepared to sort this out. As its only a little job, no-one really seems to be bothered, hence the request.

I can`t help, but as a tradesman those words will make me run a mile.
Ah,so true!

That and the words "All you have to do is...."
Along with "could you just......"
and.... "it says on the internet...."
Its only a little job in the context of getting someone to do it. I agree that it might take all day, or longer, to do what seems a very simple task but, locally, no-one can be arsed to work for less than about a week or £500 for a day so it doesn't really fit their needs. I'm happy to spend what it takes to fix it, always have been about most things, Porsches especially (but now given up on those).

I will check out the fridge model number and get back on here as it is driving me up the wall...............
