Dulux water based gloss

currently applied the above and holy sh-t, brush marks everywhere and patchy as hell,could I apply eggshell over it , if so would I need to sand and undercoat before applying, cheers.

Cheers guys,I used Leyland acrylic undercoat with the dulux water based gloss applied with a synthetic brush.just wondering if it's worth giving it a light sand and putting a coat or two of oil based undercoat then oil based gloss,you would think that technology would be able to get a water based gloss that doesn't look like sh-t when applied.
