This sound right? It's me and Mrs T, 3 young kids youngest 7 months. Last 6 months water fee is just in, £275. Quite shocked!

Hmm seems the meter is the enemy.
Looking on Thames Water site, once installed, it's there for good. Unless anyone knows otherwise?
