I live in a ground floor flat with no outside tap. Im a keen mountain biker so at least once a week im washing down a muddy bike by hand via a bucket that I have to bring outside.

(I know that there a such things as kitchen mixer tap adapters - http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/hozelock-m... - but my current mixer tap is a very curved design so I don't think it would fit)

Is there such a thing as a portable pressure washer (ie, it contains the water, ~15 litres) which is powered by mains electricity?
All the portable ones ive found - either from specialist bike shops or DIY stores - run off 12v vehicle sockets.
It doesn't have to be uber-powerful - needs to clean dirt off, but not blast the bearing seals on a bike.
Basically, I want this, but powered off the mains electric!

Does such a holy grail exist?

Already thought of that.
"Important note, devices that draw a large current such as cool boxes are not likely to be suitable for use with this power adapter. Please make sure you check the amp requirement of the device you plan to use with this power adapter before purchasing to check its suitability"

Found many reviews of the mobi washer saying that no-one can find a 240-12v adapter that can supply the juice to run it.

Check the manual but I think you can run many Karchers just from a hose stuck into a bucket or the like - you don't need to use a hosepipe.
Didn't realise that - that might be an option then!

Why don't you just get one of these:

http://www.tweekscycles.com/bike-accessories/works...

Runs for 40 mins on built in rechargeable battery
Carries 17 litres of water
Runs at up to 120psi
6 metre hose

I know lads that use these to wash down motocross bikes before they leave the track.

Sounds perfect for what you want?

Shop around as I have seen then for as little as £99 some places.
Actually, yes - that might do the job quite nicely - thanks!
