Painting a plastic loft hatch?

Anyone had any success with painting one of these?

Mine is the type used in many new builds from just over ten years ago. It's a horrible yellowing white plastic, that is also now quite dirty from various plumbers going in and out of the loft.

I was thinking one of these flexible Plasti-kote type paints would be a good idea?
