Exposed wooden floorboards. What fixings?

Will be fitting new T&G floor boards through our entire kitchen diner in a few weeks time. Much of the floor will remain as exposed wood so I'm keen to ensure the fixings are done neatly as possible. What's the best thing for this job? Nail gun maybe?

When you've hit them in wet the wood it will swell getting rid of marks,

But do use a punch for last real blow if you will

Shame your not nearer I have a pneaumatic secret nailer, but I am sure you can hire one at HSS as someone else has said.

There are also screws that you can buy that will screw through the tongues of timber like a secret nail, never used them myself but maybe another option.

Just make sure you let the timber acclimatise properly for at least a couple of weeks, is there anyway you can check the moisture in the timber??

Cheers. How easy is it to use the secret nailer as you start to get close to the walls. The one linked above looks like it must get tricky as you start to get to the last one or two boards.
