What goes through some's Minds!?

Doing the 2nd fit of a kitchen this morning, off to take the C/U cover off to do my testing, and.......
Thats a cupboard BTW.
And off course the kitchen fitter had scarpered!
Now seriously what goes through ones mind when they do this?
Do they realise what they are doing and just not care?
Do they seriously think its a good solution to a C/U being in the way?
Did it not occur to them before that it was going to be in the way?
Its not the first time I've come across similar

As long as the cover goes up it wouldn't bother me. Was the kitchen fitter was supposed to move the box?
Make the hole a few inches wider, then make a removable piece to cover the gap?slybynight said:

Can't take the C/U cover off without taking down the cupboard which is all siliconed in!toohangry said:
Shame you didn't use a spirit level on the consumer unit. Maybe he was trying to stop any embarrassment?
