I've just got home and I'm sitting in my garden counting my blessings of were I live, though surrounded by houses we all go about our business whithout effecting other people. In contrast I've been working away for just over a week, staying at a friends, who was on holiday, so I was doing a bit of house sitting and a few things like watering the garden and cutting the grass of an evening, he lives in to me, what would seem a very nice area, but everyone has to make so much noise, lots and lots!

Neighbour 1 spent most evenings (about 4 hours) pressure washing every evening with a machine that could wake the dead.

Neighbour 2 moved his car at least 3 times an evening for no apprent reason and literally had to blip the throttle 100 times before letting the clutch up each time they moved.

Neighbour 3 insisted on parking 75% on the pavement blocking it, even though they had an empty drive and the road was a good 15 ft wide, and would sit in it for 10 minutes engine running, windows open with radio 4 at full volume each evening when they came home.

Neighbour 4 had all windows open and teenage kids playing computer games, doing so shouting to the extent I could hear them over the TV with the doors and windows shut, every evening, all evening

I'm I just lucky or is my friend a noisy bd and doesn't notice, or is it just how selfish people are these days?

What sort of estate is it?
It look to me that everyone had:

A job

Their own teeth

(Not checked but) a standard size TV and carpets on the floors

Wheelie bins stored at the back of the house

House numbers not spray painted next to the front door

It's all private late 60's housing without speed humps in the road, with nice front gardens and some nice looking motors on the drives, looks a good place to live, if your hard of hearing
