How many LED for Kitchen ceiling?

We have a kitchen of approx 10-12sqm of ceiling space, with approx 10sqm of flooring, images below show the general layout.

We are struggling between 9 or 12 lights. We don't want to over do it & burn out retinas, but at the same time don't want to go below the ''done'' thing with LEDs per sqm etc?

Can anyone advise?

Pictures have been updated, not sure how I imbed Dropbox. Might help give an idea of what we are looking at. Colour is now a light sage green though, and not the yellow /cream.

I'll have a a look at that website, I have a nasty feeling it will be out of our price range judging from a first glance. This is a Wrens kitchen, so nothing fancy or hand crafted!

Well Guy has provided us with a very reasonable price for the LEDs, I am now looking for suitable switches for them.

With the kitchen & snug being on shared switches, I would likely need a switch with dimmable + normal switch next to it (or some combination of). Either that of a separate dimmer for the kitchen LEDs, but it still being turned on/off via the other 3 switches we having put in.

Can anyone recommend anything?
