Mounting rowing blades on a wall

Anybody done this? We'd like to mount my OH's uni blades, preferably in a cross pattern, but the brackets would ideally be nice and discreet unlike some of the suggestions I've come across through Googling for ideas. They're at least 12'long by the way.

Unfortunately I can’t take a photo of the blades in place as I took them down in preparation for a house move. The brackets worked perfectly though and I just used a bit of foam below each narrow end of the blades to pack them out a little.
