As title.
I'm due to complete shortly on a FTB. (Barring last minute cock ups of course) And whilst the whole place is perfectly habitable, it's also a bit neutral. Living room is all cream/white and a Lilac feature wall. Not something very becoming of a "single-youngish(30s)-man-about-town" As I have limited furniture, this seems like a good time to redecorate.
Googling "living room ideas" seems entirely to result in American apartments and houses which aside from being gigantic in comparison, are all beautifully lit to give a certain mood. Or appear to be suitable for hosting Ambassadorial receptions, noted in society for their host's exquisite taste, that captivates his guests
Not exactly real life or my lifestyle! I'm reticent to just think "Masculine. So Black, White & grey" And open to a wider colour palette.
Inspire me please

I did. I hadn't considered horizontal wide stripes. And I probably wouldn't choose that rug or log "table" But I really like this one. Using it as my inspiration if I can find some similar wallpaper in B&Q, Wickes or Homebase The designer themselves said it was paper, not paint.http://www.houzz.co.uk/projects/333205/west-1st-ma...
