Only arrived last Friday (13th) and today, on only its second outing, it has died a death

Engine runs, cutter deck works, but no forward / reverse movement from the tractor

It is a MTD RE125 Transmatic

I bought from costco on line and have already spoken with them. They are going to arrange for it to be looked at asap and will offer a repair / replace / return accordingly

It has a 3 position lever F(orward) N(eutral) R(everse)

In any of the 3 positions, there is no drive and it can be pushed

It could be something as simple as a linkage out, or something more significant

Were it older, I would be inclined to investigate. However, given that I have only had it a week and that it has only had a couple of hours of light use, letting the supplier deal with it seems the best option

It has been taken away and I have rejected it

Costco is refunding and I am looking at something with a bit more oomph

The Cub Cadet 1224KHP is recommended so far. What else should I look at?

Was going to say, that Costco are very good with returns and replacements so let them deal with it, but you've already sorted it.
Yes, to be fair to Costco, they haven't put a foot wrong so far

The Cub Cadet 1224KHP has been delivered this afternoon. It is marvellous. It was double the money of the previous machine and was worth every single penny of the extra for the work it has to do
