Looking for Garden Shed/Log Cabin/Garden Office ideas
Discussion
Hi All,
I'm moving to a new place shortly and top of the list of things to get done is some sort of garden shed/log cabin/garden office.
I've looked at some old-ish threads on here and there are some good ideas/thought - just wonder if someone had done one recently.
I'm thinking of something up to 4m x 3m. I know I can buy an "Eco Lodge" or whatever for £10k+ but I think I'd rather get a shiplap shed/log cabin for £1.5k-ish (making sure it's double glazed) and insulate it.
Has anyone done this? Any advice/guidance?
Thanks in advance.

Counter to Bogie, I love making something up myself, the satisfaction from creating something with your hands is awesome.
Not built anything quite like you want but a couple of my builds over here...

If you can get a good deal on scaffold boards it's a cheap way to go.
I remember that thread - great den/bar/cave!Not built anything quite like you want but a couple of my builds over here...

We had a Dunster House log cabin - didn't need the insulated option, but nice kit.
If you look at https://dunsterhouse.co.uk/premiumplus-lantera-sun... as an example of one a bit bigger than you need (& I would ALWAYS go as big as you can!), fully insulated with 130mm walls and bells+whistles, you are still only up to £5,500.
They would charge 2K to install, but that is a fun job for you!

You're eating into my R53 Cooper S budget though :-)

LOL! Well, I did spec the full insulation.....AND give you a bigger cabin than you asked for.....there is wiggle room in that spec You're eating into my R53 Cooper S budget though :-)
Installed cabin. £6.5-7k. Run out facelift 2007 MCS.....£6.5-£7k.
It's uncanny how I never get to buy cars these days....
