Anyone got any experience with the Guarany one?

A farmer I asked the question of recommended this one. Had a look at his and it is undoubtedly well made. Not sure it will get enough use to warrant £90, but it isn't too bonkers

For spraying weedkiller on paths etc. and spraying lawn treatment stuff too I suppose
Also, what to put in it? Some sort of glyphosphate solution I suppose?
Actually glyphosate isn't the best choice for either purpose! You want total residual for paths and selective for lawns. You can use it on paths but ina few weeks new seeds will germinate and carry on.Also, what to put in it? Some sort of glyphosphate solution I suppose?

I bought one that looks very similar from Screwfix for £15-20 - I rarely fill it with more than 10 litres because 10 litres is heavy enough !
I got this from screw fix
http://www.screwfix.com/p/backpack-sprayer-16ltr/5...
The virgin sprayer
So named because it lasted about 4 pumps
Then the handle snapped off at the pivot
Utter tat

Couple of pumps and off you go - mines done sterling service for 18months so far
EDIT - reading the reviews I see others have had issues, I put it on my back and give a couple of pumps then walk, spray and pump as I go - because of the size, it isn't like the bottle type where you pump it up loads then spray

I got this one when I wanted to spray the outside of my garage with waterproofer:

For £7 it seems well made, worked perfectly and I'm glad I didn't spend any more.

That'd be horrendous on your back and need constant refilling. Horrible things.http://www.screwfix.com/p/pressure-sprayer-7ltr-7l...

You just carry it around by the handle, not on your back. 7L is fine for an average size garden, a single fill should see it done. Only needs to be done every 8-10 weeks during the growing season at max.JPJPJP said:
