Hi, I had some bifold doors fitted last year. They came with a ten year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Last month when I lifted up the inbuilt blinds I noticed the glass was badly marked inside the units. I contacted the company, they sent some of there fitters out and they told my wife three of the four d/g units need replacing.
We waited a few weeks then contacted the company. They then told us they had contacted the glass/blinds manufacturer and they said they sometimes mark on the inside and will not replace them.
We told the company we had never seen any warning about the glass marking, we don't even know who manufactured the glass as we payed the bi-fold door company for a completed job, and they came with the ten year warranty.. The bi-fold door company are now saying the doors still work so it's not there problem......
Do you think this is acceptable for a set of bi-fold doors less than a year old?

You can clearly see diagonal lines, a large stripe down the centre, and what looks like a print of a animals head in the glass..

Which window company was it? expressbifolds by any chance?
No, not Expressbifolds. I heard a few bad stories about Expressbifolds so went elsewhere. They are from a well known company though. At the moment I am considering trying to get a refund through my credit card.

We were never told anything about the blinds. They were just a option when buying the doors. So no small print to read etc.

So should the bi-fold door company replace the glass?
