The father in law fitted a new kitchen mixer tap for us at the weekend (A franke if it makes any difference).

When you run the cold water and switch off, there is a pregnant pause before a good thimblefull of water drips out of the tap. I saw drips, comes out in one go.

Obviously this isnt right. Issue with the tap or with the fitting of said tap?

Thanks!

If it only does it once after turning it off then its fine,

If it keeps doing it, (more than once) its faulty.
It only does it once - is this really considered acceptable on a £90 tap??

It's just the water that's left between the spout and the ceramic disk that shuts the water off it normally just sits in the spout but if anything breaks the siphon it will do it. It doesn't matter if it was a £10 grand tap they still can't bend the laws of physics why is it an issue?.
Its an issue because I've never experienced it before so wanted to check the tap wasnt faulty / fitted incorrectly.
