Fitting a replacement toilet seat

A bracket on a a toilet seat is broken and I need to replace my seat cover and fittings. The last one I fitted was years ago and needed bolt going right through the base unit with a nut which was fitted from the underside. This seat looks to have a fitting from the top.

I havent started looking for a replacement yet and I am concered that this job is going to be a PITA, pun intended.

Is it likely that a replacement will be easily available and just a simple scre in fitting

Just had a look, the Phillips screw goes through the pan to a nut underneath, as suggested it looks like the only way is to remove the pan from the wall and as it is tiled in this looks a ruddy awful job. Access to the bolt looks impossible without removing the pan, I can reach the nut but that is all.

A rawl type bolt would look to be a better option, as long as it will tighten up enough.

Edit, I think that you can buy fittings that are top fix, the makers claim that you dont need to reach around the back of the pan to hold the nut in place.

Thanks MJH. I have found a new seat that has fittings where you only need go in from the top, and there is a one button press to release the whole assembly for ease of cleaning.
