New house phone line and fibre

New property and the only connection I can find is this in the basement. I think it's the phone line but can anyone confirm?

Secondly, I understand the area is fibre ready. What work is involved to get fibre installed? I dread to think what floors would have to be lifted to get to the basement from the outside!

What's the best way of approaching this then to see if there is a line here that can be made live? Choose a fibre provider and see what happens when they do some investigation?

Should have said the property is new to me.

Have checked Sam Knows and it states FTTC ready so do I just pick a supplier and see what happens?
