Good Afternoon

I've recently just purchased my first house, and i'm looking for decorating ideas.

The house is fairly small (coach house), and is a 2009 build with intact beige carpet, I don't have the funds to replace all the carpet and it would be a shame to not at least get a bit more use out of them. Although I am looking to decorate the house as all the walls are beige, and it would be nice to put my own touch on it before moving in (currently living with my parents so i'm sure they won't mind another week of me at home whilst I paint the place.) the reason I am asking for a little assistance is because I would like the wall colour to be compatible with the beige carpets, and the rest of the decor. Also i'm a bit worried about stuff not matching etc.

My thoughts at the moment would be

Living Room/Open Plan Kitchen - Pastel/Light Grey - with a grey fabric chesterfield, and dark coffee table, book shelf and tv stand

Bedroom - Pastel Green, with a neutral bed and cabnit (same colour as photos)

Hallway - Some sort of red, although this may overpower the carpets?

I've included images of the house advert below:

Any advice or real images would be appreciate, decorating ideas on google are a nightmare as they don't really show any simple designs.

Thanks in advance

I was going to ask the same question regarding the chair - thanks again for all the responses.

I'm only in the early stages of the house purchase, but already excited to put my own touch on it.
