Recommend me a good armchair

Hi all,

Moved into a new place in December and my fiancee is going to be studying a lot over the next year for her masters. I've promised her a quiet reading corner but need to find a decent chair and was hoping for some recommendations! So far, a wing back chair seems to be the favourite, but the only one she's really liked is a DFS chair that's £1,100 or so!

Regrettably, an Eames is out of budget. I made the mistake of sitting in one the last time we went furniture shopping and was totally smitten.

Thanks for all the advice - I think we're set on a repro Eames so will go and try one out this weekend.

Still quite fancy something a little more traditional-looking though - please keep suggestions coming!
