I’ve got a run of 3 picture frames to hang, which all need to be at the same height.

Problem is, they are all strung with slightly different length wire and they are wide frames so need two fixing points.

I keep seeing these tools to measure the height between fixing point and top of frame but they seem to only work with one fixing point.

Any ‘tricks of the trade’ I’m missing?

Surely you just set the wall fixings at the same height & adjust the wire? or change the wire to a diferent fixing method - the two part interlocking type.
Not as simple as that as they are heavy duty wires and they’ve been crimped. Was hoping to avoid messing with them to be honest.

For clarity, the frames are quite heavy and 4ft long. When I've hung one of them before I've found that the 2 fixings need to be at least 12" apart for it to be stable, which rules out a number of the conventional methods offered above.

Start off by hanging all 3 off the same hook and marking where the top of each frame comes to. Then measure the difference between the lines. Use this measurement to adjust the height of the fixing e.g if the second frame was 2cm lover than the first raise the fixing for that frame by 2cm. This will result in all frames being level. Hope I've explained it ok
That make sense and seems like the best option, thank you.
