My garage improvement
Discussion
Only took us over 4 years of living here to get around to starting to sort this!!! There’s still some touching up to do, and see what it looks like dry to decide on another coat or not. Deciding what to do about the manky floor and ceiling is for another day.
This gives you a vague idea of what it started like. Lots of crap and clutter to the right of the Focus and behind the Corvette
A couple from when we very first moved in
Then after a good clear out and tidy yesterday ready to paint
We have no idea what the weird graffiti is about!!
6 hours of tedious painting later
The Focus is getting tyres replaced so the garage is one car down until Friday
Still bits to do, but not a bad 48 hours.

Any plans to do the floor? I painted mine using Epoxy and a polyaspartic clear top coat and it looks pretty good, and is rock hard. You can do some nice colours and patterns to jazz up the garage some more.
Yeah certainly want to do something. First job is seeing how easy or hard it’s going to be to lift up the manky carpet that’s there I'm wondering if yellow and green would be cool or awful?

Damn, you got there before me!We assumed that for some reason the people who owned it before decided that was a good way to commemorate a dead family member or friend etc.

Perhaps hire one of thesehttps://www.hss.com/hire/p/floor-tile-stripper
Your back will thank you.
Cars won't be worked on in there, they're pretty much in brand new condition so shouldn't need any tinkering etc, and I won't be servicing myself.
Thinking I should scrap the idea of tying in the colour of the cars, and just go with a logo tile for each car at the front, then just one colour through the rest?

you'll probably have the floor a lot longer than the cars, i'd avoid colour coding the floor, also I have a black and white check that you've seen on another thread, i've since learned that if you drive in on a wet day you get dirty tyre prints on the white that if you have ocd like me, mean you have to wash the floor as much as the car!
Yes my Dad did point out the cars might not be around as long as the floor, but TBH I really can't see me changing these cars in at least the next 10 years, if ever, so I probably wouldn't mind doing the floor again in 10 years IF it looks really stupid by then. Washing the floor is a good point, although the Corvette very rarely, if ever, sees rain, and the Focus....well, I won't be getting white and hopefully green/yellow might hide dirt slightly better.
Still, overall, I don't yet know I'm going to do.....
