House Insurance Claim - Nearly 1 Year On

I was unfortunately burgled a month before my wedding and all my mothers gold and some cash was taken.
I had to pay to get the garden door boarded up which cost £1,300 (it was 2am) and £800 for a replacement glass pane + fitting due to out of hours.
I put in my claim not too soon after and its coming up to one year now, the insurers still havent made a decision.
I've had two claim handlers go missing, one is still AWOL and the other retired but no one notified me until I phoned and said what the hell is going on.
Today I was informed someone new is taking over my case and they want all the info I previously sent to the other handlers which is ridiculous.
I had to give minutia levels of information which is understandable but they have really taken the proverbial p*** even insinuating I orchestrated it to pay for said wedding (despite it all already have been paid for).
I'm now wondering if I can take it further and what can I do as this is a ridiculous time frame to not come to a resolution.
