Hi. I have a combi boiler in my house. I have the pressure between 1.3 and 1.5 Bar. I don't have a room thermostat and only control the temperature via the control on the boiler, which I have no issue with. My problem is that the dial for the central heating temperature goes up to number 7. But I cannot have it any higher that 4.5 (giving me 55/56 degrees according to the temperature gauge) otherwise the pressure increases above the 3 Bar relief!! The house is warm enough but this morning I felt like giving the house a good roasting!! Is it safe to run a lower pressure as long as the heating is at a higher setting, thus keeping the pressure up??

Cheers Ferg. I'll give it a go in the morning. The boiler is only 3 years old so hopefully it's not fecked and only needs re-charging.

Those vessels can be a bit st. You are definitely getting too big a pressure increase.
Can the vessel be replaced or could I potentially be looking to replace the whole boiler???
