Our dear puss Cherry came home last night and was very sensitive about his rear end - miaowed when stroke on back end/tail/back legs. Mrs D has carried out a closer inspection today and says he has a wet and slightly bloody looking ringpiece. Has he been bummed by a frisky local? In all seriousness he is otherwise walking and eating fine, doesn't seems pissed off (apart from his arse) so a bit puzzled by this one? Any help from the PH masses?

PH, I can only thank you for such insightful advice and commentary into this case of potential cat bumming which I will certainly hand to my lawyer when the big eared, digit lacking defendent inevitably takes to the stand. Once home and in the confines of a small room I will carry out a secondary inspection of the evidence and report back. Mrs D has booked cherry into the vets tomorrow morning so it seems I will also receive a bumming, albeit through my bank account rather than my back passage!

Well,

Cherry appears to be "out" - hopefully not cottaging in the village toilets! In his defence he was a present from father christmas to daughter no1; who didnt really appreciate the mincing subtleties of calling a male cat Cherry.

Here hes is... deviant or not you decide...

Perhaps the signs were there from an early age...

I regret to say that our worst suspicions may have already been confirmed....

I eagerly await your photoshop magic

Bumming Update.

I have been bummed by the vet to the tune of 72 quid. Cherry it appears has been bitten on his arse end by creatures unknown and has been given some anti-biotics and painkillers for his troubles. I feel almost let down by this anti-climax but at least Cherry's dignity and virginity remain in tact. Thanks you all once again and sorry to disappoint with this rather ordinary ending.

How on earth would you get your arse chewed by an unknown creature?

So what, the cat was there, eyeing up a bit of a pounce on a mouse or something, and an 'Unknown creature' sneaked up and chewed its arse? No sorry.
The vet said that he had been bitten but didn't know what by, if he was to shave Cherry's arse hekd be able to get a better look... We declined, so for now the bandit remains unknown.
