I feel sick.

My doggy has not died, but i am rehoming her.

If i could post a pic i would but i don't seem to be able to, my asus transformer is buggering about and my mother's mac is not playing either. I miss the days of just having a PC..life was easy back then.

Anyway, life has been all over the place recently and i find myself living at my mothers up in scotland with my baby, a white standard poodle called lexi.

I have only had her for two years since i rescued her but she is now 11. Tomorrow she is going to a new home, she is going to a lovely retired lady who has a house that backs on to woods..doggy heaven!

But i am gutted!

I have no choice, I have nobody to look after her as i have a new job, offshore. So the choice is kennels for half her life or a nice new owner for all her life, i think I am doing the best for her...

Tomorrow is my last day with her, right now She is on the bed with me and has no idea frown

Tomorrow we get to take our last walk together.

I remember about three years ago, taking the piss out of someone on this very forum when they talked about the loss of their 'beloved' dog. Dogs are not beloved, they are just dogs..

yeah right!

Good bye lexi, and i hope you and your new mum are very happy..sniff frown

Thanks all,

It is really tough...

Lexi is going to her new mum tomorrow, but i have already left town.

My mother will be will be taking her to the doggy charity as i couldn't deal with it!

I am actually on my way off for a holiday for a week before i go offshore for work, but I knew i had to do the deed so i thought i might as well do it before my holiday.

If i was still at home right now it would be so much harder, i was in tears this morning..

As you all say, i think i am doing the right thing for her, she is going to a good home, but i feel like i have deserted her frown

I will be back home next week for a few days and that is when it will hit me.
Gah....

BVD,

I would happily do that kind of thing but in my new line of work i wont be able to make the commitment. I will be getting called up and given 24hours notice that I am off somewhere for a month.

Nice idea though smile
