cat claw question
Discussion
The cats front left due/dew claw has gone a bit funny, I'm not sure if it is a problem or not hence this question.
It looks as if it has stopped retracting. Claw is very long, sharp and curving around back towards her foot pad. She's an indoor cat so we trim her front claws anyway with nail clippers periodically (when we noticed this) but this doesn't look correctable with just taking the end off the nail and as said, it seems to have stopped retracting. No signs of pain, discomfort or infection, the cat is quite happy.
Does she need a trip to the vets?
