A Lake in Godalming, Surrey and run by Waverley Council. Nice place to take the kids, or it used to be. Noticed the odd rat a few weeks ago (big buggars too). My wife was down there yesterday and spotted 20 of the blighters. She left a message with the Ranger to find out what measures they are taking. Whatever they are doing, it isn't working.

Does anyone know what standard protocol is? Baits I assume? Why can't they shoot them ?

Err...because a man with a gun in a park with children in it. hehe Also far easier to poison them using a safe bate station.
lol- i meant at night but i suppose you could still get some vagrant wandering around. I think these rats are immune to whatever bait they are using

It was Munters idea to shoot the kids.
