"What an unusual dog", I thought.
Discussion
Strolling through the Mall, with its usual collection of mutts and purebreds, I noticed a dog sitting with its owner. Looked a bit like a coyote, I thought. I asked the owner, as on closer inspection it was not a coyote. "Six-month old pure wolf"….
I noticed the double leash. Decided that patting on the head was not such a good idea. The animal was very restless, as it happened.

seriously doubt "pure wolf" as it doesn't look pure and they are very difficult to bring into a situation such as displayed. Much more likely to be a wolf x dog which is easier to apparently domesticate but generally less predictable. However, looks fairly peaceful in pics. Would love/not love to see the response to sudden noise or a curious dog/cat next to the restaurant table!!
I have seen pure wolves and this is as close as they get..it was just the size that got me. It is still very young. It was pacing and climbing up on the seat, not a relaxed animal. Surprisingly, there are pure wolf breeders in the US, not just wolf dogs...here is an example:http://www.freewebs.com/wolfhavenspiritofthepast/a...
