Who can you complain to regarding vets?

Really, REALLY pissed off with my old vets practice. They treated me and more importantly, my dog (Phoebe) atrociously after being customers of theirs for over a decade. New young vet - not a nice chap!

I've written to them several times and conversed over the phone and they ignore me, just keep sending me bills and adding £6 every time they do.

I'm getting nowhere with them and I consider I have a valid complaint against them. Who can I complain to? Is there an ombudsman?

Thanks for the link Bex/civic duty. Phoebe is doing well now regarding her leg, still limps really badly but it seems to be more the left leg that her previous vet misdiagnosed than the right one that has just been pinned/plated!

Unfortunately, she has just developed stomach/bowel problems due to all the drugs she has been taking, so much blood, much scared Daddy! Seems that it is just burst blood vessels in her colon, but, hellfire what a week!

I am thinking about small claims or some other sort of action as I am really pissed off with them just ignoring me. Finally got a reply today saying they will reply next week after I wrote to everyone I could find an e-mail address for!
