I have a 2 year old pug, called Boris (he dodges bullets)

I have also recently swapped my VX220 for a baby, who,is now 6 months old.

Since baby has arrived, Boris has seemed very stressed. He often stands looking at you licking his lips, and is generally a lot fussier than he was. He really doesn't like baby screeching - tail down, ears back etc.

He often goes to my mums for the weekend/week to give him a break, and he has a wonderful time there, playing with her Scottie.

The main problem is that whenever we leave him in the house he has multiple wees and poos. I thought he would enjoy the peace and quiet but it evidently distresses him. The gf left him for 2 hours today and upon her return he had done a small forced poo, a big wee, and 2 small marking wees. So I have a stressed dog, an upset gf, a screeching baby and a kitchen that stinks of dog piss.

Any advice? Do those plug in things they sell at bonfire time work? Any other time to help him chill out?

Just out of interest what did you do to prepare him for babies arriva?

Plug ins do work, zylkene and Kalmaid worth a go, try a crate, music on etc. Re the baby it's too late probably to do a desensitisation work up to baby cries but the Zylkene etc may reduce his response.

3rd one down, the pdf, good pre baby check.list, did you do any of them?

Most of them bar baby sounds beforehand to be fair, not because I read that, just seemed like common sense. Could you recommend a particular plug in?

Is it me, or do you seem more concerned about your dog, than your new baby?
Baby is fine, but babies cry. Bit like how MG head gaskets fail. Not nice, but just something they do.
