Just seen this on another forum, and thought it might amuse those of you with experience of lurchers/sighthounds....

laugh Brilliant!

I have experienced the pack howl too - in my case, two whippets and two greyhounds. Bloody spooky in the middle of the night though eek

Jet (whippet) sometimes howls in his sleep - it wakes him up and he looks thoroughly confused laugh
