I hope this is allowed here - please remove if not.

I've been made aware of a young GSD who has been surrendered to the pound in Spain, with, unbelievably, permission from the owner to euthanise. He's 14 months old and he's been in the pound for 2 months (the owner said they would return for him, but left him and have now signed him over). Apparently for the past two months he has't been out of the pen he's in (which is standard for all dogs there, not just him).

Trying not to be, or sound, too emotive here, and of course there are thousands of other dogs in peril, and there are thousands of dogs already needing homes here. I'd take him but we have two already and I'm not sure we can manage another, although that said I would definitely look to foster if I knew there was a home to take him after. He just looks very young, and he's very vulnerable right now.

We've rescued a dog from Spain and it's very straightforward. Couple of pics in case you're tempted; there aren't any better ones as he's behind the cage bars at all times.

Thanks all. I do do some voluntary work for a GSD rescue here myself but they're full to capacity frown
