Dog vomiting

4 y/o terrier cross.

He's been off his food and vomiting for the last couple of days, the last proper meal he's had was on Thursday evening. Although he's drinking okay and keeping that down.

Tried with the usual treats and titbits just not interested. To tempt him we gave him some scrambled egg this morning. Managed it, but bought it back 4hrs later.

Managed the usual walk yesterday but just wants to sleep today. No stools (that I know of!) since thursday.

What to do? Seems a bit early to get a vet involved.

He's never eaten anything he shouldn't...........yet.

Just found a tiny (freshish) stool in the back garden, looked like it was a struggle though.

Just found some diarrhea in the garden.

Dog beast trotting around now, tug of war, and frisby so showing willing.

We went to vets, diagnosis Gastroenteritis. So gave him a Jab, some stuff in a tube to put on his food plus some tablets, to start once the vomiting stops.

Advised to give him light easy to digest stuff for a couple of days.

Stopped vomiting and looking livelier, stools still a bit runny. Turning his nose up @ kibbles but enjoying, chicken, rice and scrambled eggs.
