Walking through fields with my dogs today and came across a weird object on the ground - took me a while and a bit of moving about with my foot before eventually realising it was a cat's head severed at the neck..fully fleshed (has been cold frosty lately) but no fur!...not sure why I have even posted about it on here but I am a tad bemused / intrigued.

Well, I'd say it's been shaved by small, creatures, rats, mice etc. Where the rest of the body rests will be a mystery.

How do you know it was a cat or is there a collar?
Was fully fleshed, skin etc and too perfect, almost looked fresh - it had all it's teeth....once I had turned it up the right way I realised what it was. Will take a pic if its still there tomorrow.

Almost certain it was a cat.....needle teeth and short muzzle..........I see a buzzard regularly in this area very often but other than no fur the head was almost in tact and not gnawed etc

It was still there this morning, took a few pics but not sure I should post them on here, as I said in my original post, I am not sure even why I posted about it.

I suggest you get in touch with SNARL & see if they want to know[/quote

Many thanks....I have just sent them an email with a couple of the pics but reluctant to get more involved if I'm honest.
