Amsterdam - where to stay?
Discussion
Hi all, planning on going to Amsterdam last week of November for a few nights with my mate. We're looking to pay around £45 p/night. Not overly keen on hostels/room share, but just somewhere to get out heads down for the night in relative comfort.
Anyone have any suggestions/ places to check out?
Cheers,
Lund

Just booked exchange Amsterdam for 4nights, the hotel rooms are designed by fashion students so a little quirky. Good central location, rave reviews and less than 5mins from the train station.
All flights booked, decent time flights circa £240 all in, inc 20kg baggage & 3* room (mon-fri). Not bad I don't think. Worth a look if any PH'ers fancy a winter city break.
Cheers,
Lund

I used the "Chic and Basic" hotel for an IBC trip. It was fine and a good central but quiet location.
I've been warned by a friend on no accounts to even consider the Boatel (Botel? unsure of the spelling). It was moored right next to the red light district. He said he didn't want to think about the state of the mattress...
no bedpost left, just a mattress on the floor!I've been warned by a friend on no accounts to even consider the Boatel (Botel? unsure of the spelling). It was moored right next to the red light district. He said he didn't want to think about the state of the mattress...
P.S > girls love fashion so I'm onto a winner here...
