Good beach in Tuscany, recommendations please
Discussion
2 weeks in southern Tuscany again this year.
45mins from Cecina beach, but looking for recommendations as to a nice beach around 10mins north or south of Cecina.
We'd be driving across from Volterra to it for the day.
Me, Mrs The Doc, and Baby The Doc who is 2.
Likes: quiet beaches with sand
Dislikes: crowds, pebbles, paying to sit on God's sand.

nobody go to Tuscany here then, shame.
I thought PH was such a delightfully middle class hangout
Went with family a few years ago to a villa, but it was a bit inland - about an hour - did a couple of day trips to beaches near Pisa, but can't remember the names. One thing we noticed was that everything in the small towns and villages was closed on Wednesdays - shops/restaurants - which was a bit awkward when we arrived on a Wednesday.I thought PH was such a delightfully middle class hangout
My parents used to take us about 25 years ago and I remember the beaches near Cecina being good, but it's been 25 years, so I thought I'd use the PH massive to update.
Anyhow, Marina di Bibona looks good.
