Scandinavian Road Trip - Advice/Experiences?

Anyone done anything like this?
I'm thinking driving via France/Belgium/Holland/Germany into Denmark.
From there into Sweden and then to Norway.
See some epic scenery, perhaps some camping. That kind of thing.
Which time of the year is good to go? I'd have pencilled in June/July.
I understand some roads are amazing but the police are uber strict in terms of speeding (with VERY heavy fines).
Would appreciate any advice/experiences. Thanks
